The Lord has been taking me on such an amazing journey this past season of getting grounded in the Scriptures. I am learning to test everything by the Word of God and He is opening my eyes to discern truth from error to the point that I simply cannot believe I didn't see some of the error I was in before and the error that I had been influenced by from well meaning but misguided teachers and teachings. I hit a place of real crisis in my walk with God and had to finally and honestly take a second look at the doctrines I was sitting under that seemed to be producing unhealthy fruit in my life.
Getting really basic and Biblical has helped me massively and the fruits of the Spirit are manifesting in my life in ways they never have before. I have come to see that doctrine really matters, and that bad doctrine is like a yeast that corrupts us and causes us to see through faulty lenses.
All this to say, going forward I am committed to only share posts on here in that are Biblically sound and grounded. It was never my intention to share anything that didn't fully line up with the Scriptures, but I think along the way I have tended to share more opinions and personal revelations than really taking things to the Bible and making the more sure Word of God the focus and highlight. The wisdom and philosophies and experiences of people must bow their knees to the Words God has given us in the Scriptures and I want God's Word to shine here on my blog so HE gets all the glory and because the Bible is 100% reliable and error-proof, which I am not. So it is my intention and goal to write blog posts that point people back to the Bible, and that encourage and challenge us all to ask these vital questions with every doctrine, inspiring word, devotional, spiritual writing, prophetic utterance, sermon or teaching that we are exposed to, such as: "is this Scriptural? Does this correctly echo and reflect the truth and instruction God has made plain for us in His Word? Does this distract me from obeying, adhering, or relying on God's Word or does this point me more to myself or to another person than it does to Christ?"
I do not claim to be a Bible teacher by any means, but when and if I share on this blog, I want it to be Biblically sound and to help others to see things through a purely Biblical perspective.
Lastly, I want to formally apologize and repent for any words or writings I have ever shared that didn't fully line up with Scripture or that may have distracted from the sufficiency of Scripture. I will be going through old blog posts and either deleting or re-writing anything that doesn't properly honor or point back to God's Word. In a time where much deception is being sown into the Church, I have come to understand the vitalness of depending on the written Word for our source of truth, direction, and understanding. Jesus said in John 14:23 "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them." My desire is to faithfully adhere to this command of our Lord Jesus and hope to encourage others to do the same with great fervency. God bless you!!!
